Hey Everyone, I'm currently planning for the upcoming year and I was thinking of working at African Lion Safari in Cambridge. If anyone could share their experiences from working here or any stories they've heard from friends who have worked there, that would be great! Also, would it count as veterinary or animal experience? What do you guys think? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have no experience with African Lion Safari, so I can't speak to that part of your question. As for the classification of the experience though: To my knowledge, anything to be considered "Veterinary Experience" must be with a veterinarian (DVM for Canada, or the equivalent degree for other countries):- The BIF asks for the "Name of Veterinarian and Clinic"
- Furthermore, the OVC admissions page (www.ovc.uoguelph.ca/future/dvm/admissions/non-academic/#Veterinaryexp) states the following regarding veterinary experience -
- "...must be done with a supervising veterinarian..."
- "...veterinary industry where a veterinarian is employed."
(all emphasis mine)
