Stats: 85, 84, 23 - not the best MCAT (happy it is gone!). I was interviewed last year with pretty much the same.

Thanks for replying.. Wow I guess the applicant averages this year were really high. I wish they told you what your rank was.

I have 88/86/20 and I received an interview but I saw someone with a higher score then me did not. Guest 13 is there anything on your BIF that you could think of that would cause you to not receive an interview?

This was my third time applying, and I got an interview again.
A general estimate for my marks are 82/84/28. Not 100% sure about this.

I got a reference from a different vet but I know it was good. Maybe I'm right near the cut off then. Oh well! On to next year. (Also, Still NO email)

I know this doesn't help all of you but I applied with 88/88/30 and was selected for an interview. If you weren't selected there is another year to improve your marks or experience!
Guest 13 what about your second vet reference? Perhaps it was weaker? Might be worth looking into. Keep your chin up, many people are going through the same thing as you.

Congratulations to those who received an interview! You are one step closer! Make sure to check out the many helpful posts on this thread regarding interview tips and how to prepare. This forum has always been a great resource!
For those of you who did not receive the news you were hoping for today, this is just a small bump in the road! Seeing the words "refused admission" is never easy. But! There is a summer and almost a full year of opportunity between you and the next application cycle. Take a break from worrying about your application, spend some time with friends and family and enjoy a fresh start of summer (or an extended winter). Then spend some time going over your application. Reach out to mentors/vets you have worked with and ask them to take a look at it for you to see if they can identify any areas that could be beefed up to make you stand out more as an applicant. Be open to input people have to offer you! If higher grades could make you more competitive work on planning strategic semesters that will give either a high semester average, improve prereqs, or both. Don't overload yourself. I know it has been said before but try to find new opportunities to volunteer/work/help at clinics or animal related projects. Especially if you are applying with grades that are around/above the average (depending on what the stats turn out to be this cycle) your experiences and relationships with your referees are key! I stress the relationships part - make sure that you spend a good amount of time with the vets you are asking to write a reference for you before you ask them. Think about what you are asking them to do, look at the form they fill out for you - they need to be confident in their assessment of you in all of those categories. Think about those categories when you are working/volunteering/shadowing at clinics and how you might demonstrate those qualities. If you have used the same reference more than once, ask yourself if that reference could be improved by spending more time with that referee or if your time may be better spent gaining new experiences and developing new connections.
Lastly, if this a profession and a career that you are passionate about, don't let those emails or webadvisor statuses bring you down! Keep trying, keep pushing! You will get there!

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone received a confirmation email after they responded to the interview email accepting the invitation? Apparently last year people got confirmation emails saying they received your acceptance of the invitation? Haven't received anything yet! Just curious.
Thanks all! Best of luck everyone!

Oh, I got an automated response (email) saying that the office will be busy from April 24th to (and including) April 27th, so they'll probably send out confirmation emails from tomorrow onwards.

For those of you who haven't received an email, it could be because you are in the top ~220 and may be considered for those who decline their interview.
I was just reading last years interview thread and they had mentioned something along those lines.

I know in previous years its about 3 weeks after the interviews that you find out whether or not you were accepted and on the webstite it says early June, I was hoping much like Lowenger had with the interview date,if they had a tentive date of when they would be releasing final admissions decisions? Just for an FYI and if they don't have an estimate if they could post one here when it comes avalible?

I have not. They might not be sending them out, who knows. As long as you've replied directly to the email you should be fine

Hey guys, I know this may be a weird question but can some of the people who got an interview with lower overall averages/MCAT scores post there scores here. Just so we can all sort of see the range of scores for the interview?
