It's pretty manageable, it just takes a lot of scheduling. Last semester I had a 10 hours a week job, as well as some weekend volunteering and a full course load and managed to get the best grades I have ever had. I think this is because when I had time to actually commit to school work, I knew I had no time for procrastinating or any kind of slacking, so my studying sessions were very intense in a short period of time. It also really helped having something else in Guelph to work at and to commit time to other than school work, sort of like a switch in mental mood. So, I think it just takes a lot of time management and planning and sacrificing going out with friends etc every now and then in order to fit it all in. I definitely recommend a job and volunteering with school work, I think it actually helps, even though it can be hard!

Hi dairycows, thanks for answering, I was just wondering how you managed all that and commuting? Like, did you group your classes on one day and work on the other? or did you find a job close to uni? Is commuting even a factor?
