That's a lot of 4th quartiles!
Did you all write the last available test (January 27th)?

Good luck everyone! University of Calgary and University of Guelph 93.4% 1st quartile Applied last year with an 89.4% average (didn’t get an interview). I’m 30 and my original degree was in music composition at Laurier. I’ve been working in animal science and travelling around for the past 6 or so years. Excited for this application cycle, feeling good about it!! Fingers crossed everyone. 🤞 I hope that you are kind to yourselves and proud of your hard work! Jackie

Awesome work everyone, hope you're all proud of those amazing averages!
For me I think it's about time I give up on Guelph... I thought a 4th quartile and 90% average would put me in good position this year, but it seems most people got 4th quartile anyways and the averages are skyrocketing.
This will be my last year applying, best of luck to all of you! I think I'll focus on Sydney or Melbourne next year.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on a premed forum that a lot of less competitive professional degrees use the same CASPer test as med/vet. And because med/vet is so much more competitive, the average applicant for those degrees tends to perform much better than the average CASPer test taker. So being 4th quartile among test takers doesn't really mean much, since most med/vet applicants are 4th quartile anyways.

If y'all want to take a break from crunching your admissions averages over and over, the OTS Veterinary Fraternity at OVC is hosting a flip cup tournament that's open to undergrads! This will be a great chance to network with your future colleagues and make new friends in a super relaxed environment 🍻🍻🍻 www.facebook.com/events/707213054320845

heyyy everyone with the deadline coming up I thought we could do one of these again! for those who want to, you can share your application stats here. no pressure and please only participate if you're comfortable! for me, --------------------------------------- first application YorkU 93.2% overall average (94.1% 8 prereqs, 92.3% last 2 fulltime) 2nd quartile casper --------------------------------------- Hello I'm first year at yorkU now, can I ask you how did you get the transcript in percentage? York said they don't give percentage transcript. Thank you good luck to all the applicants this year!
