Hi there, I was wondering if there are any mock MMI interviews we can use to practice, I heard at Guelph they have mock interviews in March... are these open to other students outside Guelph and if it is how do we sign up? I'm willing to travel up there if it is any other suggestions would help too! Thanks!

Hi, In March there are mock MMI on campus. The Future Vet Club organizes them and with the aid of current vet students there is the chance to practice interview skills with different scenarios. You can get feedback at the end of the session and each scenario is timed for an accurate experience. However, I am not sure if they are open to other students outside of Guelph. There is a book that might be helpful called "Multiple Mini Interview for the Mind", by Kevyn To, M.D. It has methods on how to approach the MMIs and many different scenarios to practice with. Also another book I have found helpful is "An Introduction to Veterinary Medical Ethics", by Bernard Rollin. In this book there are just over 100 different ethical scenarios and responses about animal welfare and care. Both of these books are really informative and have been recommended to me by current vet students who have found them helpful in their preparation for their interview. Hope this helps :-)

The mock MMIs are organized by the Future Vets Club and the first and second year DVM classes. This year the dates will be February 28 and March 7. It is not restricted to those at the U of G. More info will be posted on the Facebook page

Was wondering if anyone who is participating in the Mock MMI on March 5th would be willing (if permitted) to switch dates with me and take my February 27th time? Would be greatly appreciated.
