Hi, I'm going into my 2nd year at the University of Toronto at Scarborough and have just made a rather unpleasant discovery; the core biology courses at this university don't have lab components. The final mark is composed of a final exam (worth 50%), a mid-term exam (worth 30%), and an essay-like assignment (worth 20%). Would such a course be accepted as a pre-requisite to the OVC or would it be rejected for not having a lab component? Would I be better off taking a course nearly identical to this once (the same course at the downtown campus foregoes the essay for a lab component)?
For that matter, I've perused this site quite often and never have I once seen a single post by a UTSC student. Does anyone who wants to become a veterinarian go to UTSC? If there is, would you mind terribly posting your experience as a response to this thread?
Thanks in Advance.

Instructions for having external course assessed as acceptable DVM prerequisites are outlined on the OVC website under admission requirements in the section on acceptable courses. Please submit a transcript, a list of the eight courses that you wish to present as DVM prerequisites (including course name, number and credit weight), and a course syllabus for each course. You may fax the information to the personal attention of Kelly Hunter at 519-766-9481.

Hi OVC19, I'm at UTSC too, and I really want to be a vet. Would you mind posting what courses you used as pre-reqs and what marks you got?
