Would there be an advantage of doing a thesis in my fourth year when it comes to admissions? Currently debating whether to do a thesis course or not. Either way I would graduate with an Honors specialization in Biology. Thanks ahead for the advice!

Hello, Also had a question, although somewhat unrelated. I was wondering if any consideration is given to students at universities known to have significantly more difficult courses (I.e. UofT, McMaster, etc.)

I heard that if you take thesis, then the first semester would not be counted as one of the four full-time semesters since the final grade for the thesis is only released at the end of the second semester. Is there any way to make the first semester counted?

Hi, I found this off the OVC Academic requirements page: "A course that runs the full year will have the credit weight divided equally and half applied to each of the two semesters the course is taken. " I will send off an email to make sure a thesis course would be valid to this rule, and get back to you!

Is there any way to make the first semester counted? Okay I have an answer! You won't be given a final grade until the end of the course, but your semester would still count as a full time course load.
