Perhaps the semesters you submitted forward we’re not full-time semesters or something may have been wrong with them (I.e. course overlap, not following 60:40 rule)... in that case they would take the next full-time semester available which may have had lower grades than the ones you calculated for the other semesters? Hope this provides any solace, I’m sorry you have to go through this :/ Nope I made sure everything followed the rules they had. I just don't get it. This is so odd! Have you contacted the admission people? What do they say?? I thought once you get an interview it’s all about the marks!! (Academic and interview)

Hi Xena. My interview score was 74.861%. I’m equal parts disappointed and not surprised by that, but it got me in so who am I to complain? I can save some time for anyone who is curious about the math, my marks component was 91.45% (between my two semesters and top 8 marks). Honestly, my grades saved me. Hi Blessed, I got a 77ish interview score with my average of 91.475 I believe! Mine saved me too. I struggled so much with the MMI, and I did NOT want to do it a fourth time haha

Refused again. My interview score was marginally better but still feels awful to be refused twice... I was refused twice before I finally got in this year. Keep going!!

Admissions cannot give specifics on why an individual was refused admission. If your overall score is above the cutoff but you did not receive an offer of admission, it means you were flagged during the interview. BIFs and reference letters are reviewed prior to interviews and have no bearing on whether or not someone is removed from the applicant pool after interviews have taken place (they just help determine whether someone gets an interview in the first place). At that point it is just a numbers game (plus interview flags, if applicable). Congratulations to everyone who received an offer of admission Hold on to this feeling! It will help you as you progress through your time at OVC.

Just curious, what would be an example of a red flag for the interview part? If you said something that showed a poor work-life balance, that would be bad. So for example "I don't care about how my personal life suffers, my career is my life and I will always put it above everything else." I've never run the interviews but I was told this by my mentors!

Okay that makes sense. That seems to be a common attitude to come across in the vet hopeful pool of undergrads.
