Does anyone know if we will receive an email whether we are offered an interview or not? The OVC website says "Candidates who are invited for an interview will receive an email in December (international cohort) or the last week of April (domestic cohort", but previous posts on here make it seem as though applicants were notified if they were not invited to interview.
Would anyone mind posting when they receive an interview offer on here?

My understanding is that candidates selected for interview will receive an email with interview details and their WebAdvisor status will not change, whereas those refused admission at this stage will see that change on WebAdvisor. I assume you also receive a formal rejection email around the same time or shortly after

Hi there,
I applied as an undergraduate in 2018, and I received an email that I was not invited for an interview. I believe it was on the Tuesday of the last week of April.
Good luck!

Last year, I received my offer on April 26th although I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a week later this year due to the delay with exams. I’ve heard from some friends that applied that if you don’t get an interview, your webadvisor status will change to refused admission, whereas if you do it’ll just stay exactly as it is now (Mine stayed the same right up until being changed to admitted). I know the wait is nerve-wracking but I’m sure you’ll hear soon! Best of luck everyone!

Has anyone heard anything? I just saw on the "Applying to OVC for F20" FB group a post from Elizabeth Lowenger, it said: Interview invitations, as well as details regarding the process, will be sent out by no later than May 14. Good luck.

I suspect that they will push back the dates for the interviews as well, Ms. Lowenger commented on the facebook post that those details will be "announced shortly"

Well that’s not fair. I can always make sure to update this forum with any news posted if that helps

I also don't seem to be able to join the group as a Western U student.

It's a bit absurd that updates are being posted exclusively in an unofficial Guelph facebook group rather than something more legitimate that all applicants have access to. Hopefully more information will be available before May 14, and ideally on the OVC site.

Yes I totally agree with guestwaiting that they need to make this information accessible to everyone. I am applying from a different university and I have to rely on the information posed on this forum instead of hearing directly from Guelph. How hard is it for them to send an email to all the applicants explaining what’s going on!?!? It is very stressful and annoying having to wait extra time to hear back about the most important interview in my life....I guess they have forgotten what it feels like to be an applicant.

I too am from another university and am feeling a bit shut out. If the admissions staff has official notice of new dates or any other changes pertaining to the interview it should be sent as an email to all applicants. It's very likely that many applicants do not even know of this forum, let alone the private facebook group.
