Hey everyone!
What does everyone think about the pass/fail rule that was implemented for W20? Do you think it’ll have a huge impact on the admission average for next year? I’m assuming it’ll increase the average somewhat, just not sure how much... This will be my third application so I’m trying to gain some advice regarding this.

This will be my second application and I too am a bit concerned as my undergrad semester averages are locked in place. I imagine that everyone still completing undergrad courses simply will designate their two lowest marks of the semester P/F to boost their average, so this could lead to a significant increase in the average. Not to mention the rampant cheating in all courses that are inflating marks.

I’ve been thinking these same things :/ I will be applying next year for the third time and although I’ve been out of undergrad for a bit now I’m considering going back for another semester just to keep up with the increasing grades. I’m starting to really worry that next years marks are going to sky rocket because of the online courses

I’m starting to really worry that next years marks are going to sky rocket because of the online courses I am also looking at going back for a semester to upgrade my marks. I feel like I don’t even know what to expect as an average increase this year. Usually you can expect the average to go up less than 1%. I’m worried that if I go back for a semester it still won’t be competitive for this year. Any thoughts?

At this point I’m probably going to return to undergrad courses for a semester and try to bump up my marks a bit, but other than that I unfortunately think this is only going to result in a rapid increase in the admission averages for the next few years :/ I’m going to apply again but I’m also seriously looking at schools outside of Canada too
