Family as Validators?

Hi everyone, 

I was wondering if it is allowed to use family members as validators, for example for work on the family farm. I emailed the vetmed email and all they said use your best judgement. 

Wondering if anyone else has done this in the past or if you know where I could find more information on this.

Hey! I used a family member as a validator on my BIF. I had my own farming business and my dad was an equipment operator for me and I used him as my validator, and had no issues with that. Best of luck!

Validators are fine to be family but references are not!

I figured it was fine but wanted to be sure so I didnt stress about it.
