Hey guys!
I am planning to apply to the DVM program in 2022, but unfortunately I took my Stats prerequisite course in a 2.0 credit semester. I was going through personal issues and was being treated for a mental illness at the time. Would I be able to submit an appeal and use that Stats course towards my 8 prerequisite courses?
Thanks!

That sounds like a valid reason, so long as it's documented/verifiable. I'm not sure what exactly the admissions board would be looking for but mental health grounds may require a statement from a therapist or psychologist that saw you at the time. The admissions webpage for it is here: www.ovc.uoguelph.ca/recruitment/en/applyingtodvm/Academicrequirements.aspI'd recommend getting into contact with them (i.e. via their email: admdvm@uoguelph.ca) as soon as possible as there are a few deadlines to make and appeals take a while. If the mark wasn't outstanding, you might want to consider taking another stats course just to save time/complication. Best of luck.

Send in the appeal. Provide as much supporting documentation as possible. Should be fine if it's well documented and validated by a doctor.
