Do you think using a prep service is necessary? I feel confident in my own interview prep process however it does give me something to consider.

Last year I used medcoach and you send in practice tests and they score you and give you feedback. I found it to be very reasonably priced compared to other companies. I did well on my Casper and would be happy to help anyone who may have a smaller budget as well

Does anyone know if the time limit during the casper test includes reading the scenario and the questions? Or is the time to read the scenario separate?

Don’t use Astroff. Expensive and they don’t have DVM consultants. Go with Futurememd, I actually know some of their DVM consultants and they are awesome

I didn't use any prep services, and still got in! If you can afford to use a service, then by all means go for it as some of them sound useful. If you can't afford one, then don't worry because it's still possible to do well. Just practice lots and lots of timed scenarios. There's lots of free material available online.

Did you focus more on casper prep or did you prep for the personal interview as well. If so, could you give us any advice on how to prep for the personal interview?

I had one with Isabelle which was good but she hadn’t done CASPer before, but I have 3 coming up with Sarah in the next week

I also never used any prep services (#brokestudentlife) and did just fine! I think the most helpful thing you can do, similar to MMI prep, is just do a ton of the free practice scenarios, create a general formula/layout of your answer, and practice typing quicker. I also had my friends, boyfriend, sister, etc read over my answers to see if they would have added or changed anything and it was helpful to see if there was a perspective I neglected to consider. Since these are just general ethical scenarios, they don’t need to have a vet background to provide valuable input! And don’t let the sample answers you see online scare you, though it does give you an idea of things you might want to consider, no one can type ALL of that in five minutes. As a 65 wpm typer I even left some questions blank due to the time constraints and I thought I bombed it. But I had one of the lower admitted averages so it must have gone ok! Just be true to yourself and your ethics and you’re all wonderful people who are going to do just fine. Good luck to all of you future 2025s!
