Hi there,
I was wondering how the overall GPA from one semester is converted to percentage marks. I know that the midpoint is used for each letter grade (i.e. If A/4.0 ranges from 85-100, then 92.5 is used) but for example, how is an overall GPA of 3.8 converted? I got 4 As and 1 B for my last semester, which is four 4.0s and one 3.0, semester GPA is 3.8.
If 3.8 is used directly to convert to percentage, then that would be 82%. If the average of four 92.5s and one 72 is used, then that would be 88.4%. There is a big difference here.
Thanks for the help!

While it’s best to ask the admission team, Im fairly confident they calculate each grade individually and then take average (I’ve been told that by multiple friends of mine who got into OVC- we are all from McMaster so we also need our grades to be turned into percentages first)
