hello,
I was just wondering if under vet experience of the BIF we should record all the names of the vets that we worked with at multi-vet clinics? Or should we only put the name of the vet who would be the validator and OVC will understand that the hours may be time spent with various vets?
also is it fine to have a vet be your 3rd reference? and is it fine if 2 of your vet references are from the same clinic?
thanks!

Hi Hopefulllll101! As per the first page of the BIF application, it says to identify each vet not each practice. so if you worked at one clinic with 3 vets, you would put each vet down separately. Additional Notes The BIF is used to provide supplementary non-academic information for your application. It is the responsibility of the applicant to use their best judgement when declaring information on the form. If you feel an experience is relevant to your application, this is your opportunity to do so.
When confirming Ontario residency, if you have lived in the province since birth, please declare your birth date, and the BIF due date as the end-date (February 1st). ******If you have worked at a clinic with multiple vets, you must declare them as separate experiences IF you have tracked hours with each vet.***** When declaring average hours per week, estimate to the best of your ability, even where experiences only covered a certain time period (i.e. a position you worked during summers, but not necessarily during other times of the year). Do not declare experiences and hours that you are planning to complete in the future. Any on-going experience should have an end-date of February 1st. For your personal statement, be original and thoughtful. Be sure to share your meaningful experiences and your passion for veterinary medicine. Don’t forget to proofread. You may wish to draft your statement in another document, however, the form functions best when information is typed directly into fields, rather than copying and pasting. Applicants are reminded to regularly check their uoguelph email account, and Webadvisor, throughout the duration of the admission cycle.
thats a breakdown from the first page of the BIF

Two of my vet references were from the same clinic and I had no problems!

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could answer the opposite? I had worked at a multi-vet clinic but I did not spend a considerable amount of time with many vets but one, should I just stick with the one even though some of the time I placed in there was spent with other vets?

If we did not track hours with each individual vet, is it okay to list multiple veterinarians' names under "Name of Veterinarian"? Or just pick one vet?
