At the FVC DVM student panel there were a few courses that the students felt really helped them in the DVM program. The following courses were mentioned:
HISTOLOGY PHYSIOLOGY PRINCIPLES OF DISEASE EPIDEMIOLOGY
Any others I'm missing ... ?

A few of the courses I found useful: -Principles of Parasitology -Animal Health -Comparative Animal Physiology
Some courses that probably also would have been helpful: Pharmacology, any Anatomy courses
Take advantage of nutritional courses as well! They're really good and quite interesting and while they don't help with any particular courses (atleast within first or second year) you do get questions from clients about nutrition!

I found Comparative Mammalian Anatomy (BIOM 3010) to be a HUGE help in Phase 1, and Parasitology (PATH 3040) will be a huge help in phase 2.

Not so much for class, but I found animal care and welfare very helpful for the interview

Not so much for class, but I found animal care and welfare very helpful for the interview I'm guessing that's ANSC*3210 Principles of Farm Animal Care and Welfare?

I found Principles Of Disease (BIOM3610) and Mammalian Physiology to be helpful. I do wish I had taken Anatomy and Histology myself.
Aside from those, you'll find that taking a diverse range of courses will be helpful in one way or another.

Also, Pet Nutrition (if thats still offered, because you don't get much exposure to food and feeding at the OVC but it helps in many different classes like health Management and Clin Med). Metabolism also helps better understand some major concepts in feeding.
I've also been told Immunology is another good one to have.

Here's my list: Comparative Mammalian Anatomy (BIOM 3010), this will save your life. Endocrine Physiology (BIOM 4030), good for more in depth physiology. Human Physiology (HK 3940), a little unusual for a prospective vet but still helpful. Principles of Disease (PATH 3610), if you don't take this course you need to get your priorities straight because it is awesome. Developmental Biology (ZOO 2100) is helpful for histology, as it teaches you what stains pink and what stains purple.
Things that will help with POD DVM: Principles of Parasitology (PATH 3040) is amazing. Medical Virology (MICR 4430) has lots of information, but better to learn it over the undergrad course than cram it into 2 weeks in POD DVM.

Biomedical Histology was a HUGE help for phase 1 histology. It's a lot of work in undergrad, but it'll lighten your work load in first year. Animal Reproduction would be good to take as well, since Theriogenology in phase 2 has been similar thus far (and possibly Reproductive methods if you're really interested, it has helped a lot too). I see others have already mentioned Principles of Disease. A pharmacology or parasitology course would probably be helpful as well...
