Hey guys, I know to calculate the GPA, OVC looks at the last two full-time semesters. In my final year at school, in first semester I only took 4 courses and then I took 6 in second semester. So would Guelph consider my average from second semester in fourth year and then second semester in 3rd year when calculating that GPA?

I would bet your 6 course semester will count (you might get to choose your best 5) but not the 4 courses, assuming 0.5 or 3 credit weighting. Go back until you find another semester with the correct # of credits. the admissions website used to explain when you could split 6/4 so look on the academic requirements page then contact Deanna Lundmark for a decision re your specific case so it's all settled ahead of time for your application.

Yes the 6 course semester would count, not the 4 one. Then we'd go back to the most recent 5 course semester.
You can't choose to split semesters, we would only accept it if you had no choice because your program was structured that way. But that's not the case at Guelph and at most other universities you can still take a 5th course to top up a 4 course semester.
