Hello,
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did if they encountered this.... I have gotten the majority of my vet and animal experience into the BIF no problem, however, some of my animal experience and extra curriculars were done a few years ago and I cannot seem to reach the people who would validate them...
For example, I worked for two years on a poultry farm, with over 1500 hours, but left that job when I moved to the city for my undergrad. Since then, the company has gone out of business and I cannot find any contact information for my supervisor or the owner of the company. Does this mean I can not use all those hours on my application?
Same goes for some of the volunteer work I did with scouts Canada before I moved to the city, I can't find any contact information for the woman who co-ordinated my volunteer time.
So... What can I do?

Good question
Have you tried LinkedIn,Facebook, Google? Usually professionals are on the web somewhere.

Unfortunately my job with the farming company was owned by a single individual as it was a very small business, they were not on any of those social media outlets or even had a website, and the personal phone number for the employer has changed since they went out of buisiness. Most of everything in the buisiness was by word of mouth initially. I might have luck on Facebook, but none so far.
The time I spent with scouts Canada was supervised by a women I no longer have contact information for, and I'm not sure if I just contact them they can give me her contact information as it might be a breach of privacy type of thing. I'm not really sure if anyone else there could verify my volunteer hours though.

I would contact Scouts Canada if possible the branch where you volunteered. Hopefully they have some records of who was involved.
