Hello,
In general is there an expected time frame for which applying students will receive a notification for an interview?
Thank you,

Also interested in finding this out! I believe I heard that we are supposed to hear by the end of April but I am not sure if that is true?

Do rejections go out before interview requests?

Do rejections go out before interview requests? yes! only around 200 or so people get interview notifications. So about 50-60% of applicants get refused before the interviews! (yiikess)

I think what HI may have meant was whether the rejections will be sent out before the interview notifications on April 21st, but I may have misinterpreted that.

Yes I meant do rejects go out earlier! Like last year they went out when classes were still on!

Does anyone know what the early-April rejections were based on last year? E.g. not meeting admission requirements, or meeting admission requirements but being rejected based on grades? (I know more rejections go out when interview offers do, I'm just wondering if anyone knows about the early rejections)

Hi
On April 20th the committee will meet to set the interview list. So of the 500 applicants the top 200 with good applications will get an email inviting them for an interview, and the other 300 will get an email refusing them admission to the DVM program.
Once the interviews are done the top 100 with the interview score considered will be offered admissions and the bottom 100 will be refused. All interviewed candidates will be provided their interview score as a %.

Anyone have any updates on their admissions status yet? I heard last year people were getting "no further consideration" status updates around april 7th.

Hello there,
I just wondering: I know OVC interviewers include staff, faculty, students, and members of the public. It is my understanding that interviewers remove themselves from the room if they know an interviewee, so as to prevent a conflict of interest. My question is, does the interviewee also get a say if they feel there is a conflict of interest? Also, is a second interviewer added to replace one who withdraws from a particular interview?

Yes, the interviewee will also get a say if they feel there is a conflict of interest; you are provided a list of names of the interviewers (upon arrival/check-in at the interview, before the actual interviews begin) and can mark off if there are any that you feel will cause a conflict of interest. You will often see the interviewers before the interviews begin in case you don't recognize the names. Usually, a second interviewer will replace the one who withdraws (interviewers will switch rooms for that interview). Good luck!

Hi all
Due to some technical things that need doing, the interview or initial refusal notices will go out next week - probably Tuesday.
