Hi there,
I'm starting to work on my essays and forms in preparation for my application. I'm using the 2019 grad cohort form as the base of this, assuming there won't be any major changes to it in 2020.
Because I am a mature student doing this as a potential career change, I have quite a few publications, conferences, etc under my belt. They don't all fit in the 1 page provided for each on the form! Can we add pages or attach these as an appendix somehow? Any insight appreciated!

You would apply into the grad cohort if you have a master's degree or higher.
We only want to see the publications that were completed during your graduate career, not as part of a job after graduation. So I'm not sure that helps narrow it down for you.

Hi thank you!
Unfortunately that does not help me - I have a long graduate career. So how do I handle this? Can I add a second page? Or complete a second form?
As an aside, the concept that only publications completed during a grad program count seems pretty arbitrary. If an applicant has authored relevant, peer-reviewed research after their graduate training, that speaks to both their productivity and dedication/interest in research, which I think is the whole point of the graduate cohort is it not? It should be considered and acknowledged!

I agree with you - it is arbitrary. I’ve worked as a research coordinator for years since my masters program (which was course based) and the school doesn’t seem interested in any of that work. I decided not to apply to OVC again because the application process was literally working against me. Even though I have several publications, abstracts and conferences to talk about - because they didn’t happen during my grad program, they’re deemed irrelevant.

I am in the process of putting together my graduate cohort form and have run into a similar issue. I am running out of room to put all my papers, abstracts and conferences that I have completed DURING my graduate degree (Example, #3. Peer-reviewed Papers - if you put in 3 lines per paper, you can only submit up to 12 papers). Is there a possibility of adding appendixes, pages or changing the font size? If not, how could I select for papers that should go on my application? Many thanks in advance!

Just following up with this thread - did anyone find out what to do here? How do we include all of our papers/conferences/abstracts completed during grad school if there is not enough room?

I noticed that and emailed the admdvm@uoguelph.ca email this past Monday and asked if an updated version will be put on the website. They haven't responded to me yet.
