Does anyone know how to include information about any publications we have in the undergraduate application? I am first author on a paper which I want to include in my application but the only place I can think of to include it is in the Honours/Awards section. Does anyone know if this would be appropriate?

My understanding is that you should not try to fit it into your application unless it clearly falls under the animal/vet/other work experiences. So if you worked in a lab and subsequently got a first author paper out of it, then I would put the research under the "other" work experience. Having a publication record is something they look at for graduate applicants, but not so much in the undergrad pool. If there is any experience associated with that research paper however(ie: working as a research associate), then include it there, but save mentioning the publication for your essay or interview. Finally, and I may be wrong, but if the paper itself was part of a course requirement, you should not include it.
