Hi all, So I came across this question on prepmatch.com where you basically see a person fall down during this period of the COVID pandemic. When you approach them, they start coughing and the scenario basically asks if you'll still help. I am so unsure about how to get about it! Someone on PrepMaTCH told me that I should acknowledge in my answer that personal safety is important, but if I am wearing a mask, this shouldn't be problem

I think it is simply important to acknowledge your personal safety as well as their safety.
I would say something like; this situation is complicated by the fact that public health guidelines are encouraging physical distancing. I have to consider my own safety when coming into contact with this individual, and I also have to consider their safety as I could pass the virus to them. From a distance, I would ask if it was okay if I helped them and that they wanted my help. Since I have my mask with me and feel as if the safety of this person is in jeopardy if I do not help, then I will approach this individual accepting that the risk that it poses to my personal health does not outweigh my obligation to help.
I think it is just important to outline your thinking around it, even though the outcome in the end may very likely be the same, it is important that you show the evaluators you are able to critically think about all aspects of the problem.

Lots of good points made above. I agree! From my experience of taking the CASPer last year and using prepmatch.com this year, I find that questions sometimes ask for personal experiences as well. Try to think of scenarios where you were stuck between helping someone and risking yourself (I'm sure questions of this nature will appear on the real thing)

Just tried out prepmatch, it's honestly really good, not gonna lie. How long does it usually get to get feedback on it?
