Hello, If a course has a recommended pre-requisite but it is not mandatory, will that course still be acceptable for ovc? Or if I take the recommended pre-requisite in the summer during a non full time sem, after taking the said course will it make the course unacceptable?

I’m not sure what you mean by “recommended prerequisite” vs a mandatory prereq. I believe admissions only care about prereqs needed to get into the course because it indicates an overlap of content. I would definitely email admissions to be sure as they are the ones that approve these kind of things. Better to be safe!

I'm also not 100% sure I understand your question, but it's important to note that any courses you take during a non full time semester, prerequisite or not, cannot be used as part of your mark submissions! So if it's a course you think you'll do well in, I would try taking it in a valid semester.
