Hello, I am now attending u of t for the third year. However, during the first two years, I was very unsuccessful and has only completed 5.5 credits. Therefore, I am considered a second year student. This year, I was planning to take full course load for both semesters but had to drop one course for the fall semester. I am wondering would the winter semester count as the four full semester that is required for admission or would it not since it is in the same academic year as the fall semester. Also, I am worried that my failure in the first two years would affect future consideration for admission. On the OVC site, it says that they only look at the final two semesters but it worries me. Would it have any effect in considerationĀHOne last question. If I plan to send in marks for third and fourth year, then it is okay to have 40% of the course load lower than the actual grade right? Thank you so much for reading such a long question!

Hi Julia,
Your winter semester is independent of your fall semester. The OVC will ONLY look at the two most recent full-time semesters when calculating your semester average, it does not matter whether your two most-recent full time semesters were back-to-back or not.
Additionally, your 8 prerequisite courses that you choose to submit to the OVC must have taken place within full-time semesters. They don't have to be in the two most-recent full-time semesters.
The OVC does not look at any semesters besides your two most-recent full time semesters, so your first two years will not be considered.
40% of your course load can be below third year, when you are in third year or higher of university.
