Dear All,
If I am submitting the last semester of my 3rd year and the first semester of my 4th year as the last 2 full time semesters, then how does a full year (ie. 2 semester) course in 4th year get evaluated by the admissions? The course doesn't have a final mark until the end of the year (April), so if I am submitting my OVC application in January then the admissions panel will only see an interim (at best) or no mark at all for the course. Does anyone know what actually happens in this case? Would they wait until April to view the final mark?
Thanks, Aquavet.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? I've emailed Ms. Lundmark and have been waiting since the beginning of June for a response.

Sorry, no idea about this one. Maybe send a follow up email to Ms Lundmark now- the Admissions dept has been rather busy with the whole admissions process for this year's applicants until now, so thats probably why you haven't heard back yet.

It is clear that for courses to count they must be completed by December 31st.
The course will not be finished by that date so is not admissable as a course. They will have to take the two semesters from your third year.
However, you can still use any of the other 4 courses as prerequisites since you'll have a final mark for them and they were taken in a full course load semester.

I was just speaking to my thesis professor and he told me that he could provide an unofficial mark by December 31st, but it would not appear on my transcript. He said he could email Guelph if needed. Do you think this will be acceptable?

Unofficial marks are never acceptable for applications to the DVM program.
