Just a quick question about the 8 prerequisite courses. I completed the second year Biochem course (2580) and later tried to boost that mark in the third year Biochem (3560). My mark ended up being better in the second year course. Am I ok to use that grade as my preqeq for biochem, or do I have to use the higher level biochem? The only somewhat relevant information I can find on the OVC site is: "Courses will not be acceptable if they are repeats of previously passed courses, or if they are taken at the same level or a lower level in a subject area than previously passed courses in the same subject area." In which case, I seem to be ok. I feel as though there used to be a rule stating you must use the highest level completed in that subject area? Maybe I'm over thinking this. Thanks

You are definitely ok The rule on the OVC site would apply to your situation in this way: For whatever reason, pretend you took BIOC*3560 first (Pretending BIOC*2580 was not a prereq ) If you passed BIOC*3560 with flying colours, you may be tempted as a future vet student to take BIOC*2580 the following semester to boost your average (because you did so well in the more advanced course, your previous experience in BIOC*3560 would give you a huge advantage in BIOC*2580). This is unacceptable for obvious reasons. Submitting the 2580 course is not unacceptable. Even though you took 3560 and have decided to use 2580, the two events are exclusive-- it's not like you had any sort of advantage when you took your 2580 course--- ie, see example above Hope I helped ! (And didn't future confuse!) Serena
