Hey everyone,
I know we are supposed to be notified approximately 3-4 weeks after our interview but I noticed on these forums and on the websites that probably the grad cohort has not had their interviews yet. Does this affect when the undergrad cohort receives notification? I'm assuming they are separate as their interviews are but I just wanted to double check! Thanks!

As far as I know that rule still applies. You can check the website to find out for sure. You can always try to apply places in other provinces and/or countries.

got interviews every time but didn't make it after 4th application.. I'm so sorry about that, I didn't get in either although this was my first application. This is all I've ever wanted so there's no way I'm going to give up. I guess my interview wasn't enough to make up for my marks, which were within the normal range but slightly below the usual average. I'm super upset but all I can do is work hard and apply again. Do you mind me asking what your marks are like? It's hard when they only accept half of the interviewed applicants. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

guest1204 and Guest643, as well as any other unsuccessful applicants: I made a post in a new thread titled " For All Unsuccessful Applicants" ( fvc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=admissions&action=display&thread=6490), which I hope you might find helpful and give some direction following this disappointing news. As for guest1204's question specifically regarding the number of OVC applications allowed per person, Jwill is indeed correct and, per the policy on the OVC's web site for future students (at the time of this posting): In total, only four applications for admission to the DVM program will be considered from an individual. This includes applications in either the undergraduate cohort or the graduate cohort.
(per www.ovc.uoguelph.ca/future/dvm/unsuccessful/faq/#howmanytimes, or the "new" web site: www.ovc.uoguelph.ca/recruitment/en/helpfulresources/FrequentlyAskedQuestions.asp) There are, however, many alternate paths you can take (to a DVM degree, or otherwise), which I hope I have well summarized in the thread I refer to above.

Congratulations to everyone who got in! Feel free to join the Facebook group and introduce yourselves (maybe also mention who you are from this forum there, for dreizehn and my sake? I think we're two of the few OVC seniors you'll find here).
For everyone who didnt get in, sorry this wasnt your year. Keep at it, as dreizehn said, there are a number of alternate paths- explore your options, take the time to learn and improve your applications and good luck in all to come!
