housing situation during your years at ovc

Just a quick question for those of you who are currently in OVC. I just wanted to get a general idea on what most of you did for your living situation - ie. did you live with fellow vet students? with other grad students? alone? at the frat house?
I'm starting at ovc in the fall and am torn between whether to live alone or with other people.

Did you find that after being in every class together five days a week it was too much "together time?" or did you feel that you could understand each others needs (study time, party time, etc) better because you were in the same program?

any tips, experiences or suggestions would be awesome!

A lot of it depends on what type of person you are.. and unfortunately the type of ppl you would end up living with. Are you going to want to party every weekend now that you're finally in? Do you want your place to be party central, or would you rather your place be a private retreat and party at the frat or somewhere else?? If you're deciding whether to live with other vet students versus Guelph undergrads, I know a lot of ppl prefer to live with fellow OVC students (lower with upper years too) as you'll get more sympathy when it comes to having a test every Monday..

I'm going into phase 2 and I've lived with my fiance for the past 4 years (he moved to Guelph when I was in second year of my undergrad). While we are probably a more atypical situation, I can definitely say I enjoy it being just the two of us.

I went to Guelph for my undergrad and my brother did as well. My parents ended up buying a townhouse that I live in with my brother (4th year econ) , my boyfriend (MA student) and a couple of my brother's friends.

personally, I wouldn't want to live with vet students because I get sick of people and I'm really not into talking about school all the time. Living with OVC students could have benefits though- carpooling, study groups, etc.
It might not be too much "together time" because the people you live with probably won't be in your practice group.
