Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows how long we have from the point when OVC lets us know if we've been accepted for an interview to when we actually have to write the CASPer test. Is it usually a couple of weeks? I'm a bit worried because I have not started preparing for the CASPer test yet. How much would you guys recommend to prep in advance? Thanks!

Last year I received an interview invitation on the 5th and wrote the CASPer on the 28th, so we were given a good 3 weeks in between. The dates may be different this year. I found this was more than enough time considering that I didn't feel extensive preparation was helpful for this type of test. My hope was that the outcome of the test would reflect the sum of all my learned experiences, my communication skills, and my personal ethics and not how much I prepared in the 3 weeks prior. However, how much you want to prepare is completely up to you and I am confident that you will have enough time to do whatever makes you feel comfortable! Reviewing how you might structure an answer, practising your fast typing, practice scenarios, anything that makes you feel more ready.  |
