I am a non-degree student currently completing prerequisite courses, and I think I never saw this requirement when I started non-degree program last year summer. I remember their website was under maintenance for quite a long time and in fall semester I could finally have access to their website, and I found this after completing 2 semesters with full course load already.
"For students that have obtained more than 10 credits in their program, 60% of credits in each full-time semester must be taken at a 3000 level (third year level) or above once they have completed 10 credits. However, the remaining 40% of the credits in a full-time semester may be taken at a level of the applicant's choice."
Did this rule always exist? Or was this newly added after their maintenance? If it wasn't there before, do you guys think I can try explaining my situation that my full time semester not meeting 60/40 rule through accommodation request?
Thank you

This rule has existed for many years. Unfortunately, it's an easy detail to miss and I've heard that admissions is extremely strict about this rule. I've never heard of an exception being granted for any reason regarding courses not complying with the 60/40 rule. Still worth reaching out to admissions to ask, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Sorry.

Hey there. I'm sorry you're going through this. The exact same thing happened to me a few years ago when I took an additional semester just for OVC. Their admission advisor advised me on which courses to take and never mentioned the rule. I heard about it after the semester was over, and when I contacted them about it they said it was their job to validate the courses for content, and the students job to validate the semester eligibility. Nothing could be done. Again, I'm sorry to hear, I know how upsetting this must be. Best of luck.

I had to redo the semester unfortunately, and I couldn't redo the courses or use the GPA as one of my past two full time semesters. It sucked

It sucked I’ve heard of them making exceptions for people with completely unrelated degrees, such as finance, engineering, etc. Was this not the case for you? Thanks for your help
