Hey guys. I just had a few questions that hoepfully someone might know the answer to. The first involves my course load. I know OVC requires 4 full-time semesters (2.5 credits) to be completed to apply. They also require my gpa from my final 2 full-time semesters which they consider. I am taking 7 courses as of right now, with 2 semesters left after this semester is over, (five 0.5 credit courses and two labs worth 0.25 credits) which is 3 credits. If I drop a course which is 0.5 credits, this keeps me at 2.5 credits this semester. I was wondering anyone knew that generally when OVC asks for 2.5 credits that it does not matter how that is achieved or if it requires at least five 0.5 credit courses? It does not specify the OVC website exactly how 2.5 credits must be attained it only gives an example.
My second question pertains to that dropped course. How much weight does a dropped course have during applications if it is only one W on a transcript? Will it be cause for concern? For reference, this course is a 4th year biology elective that as a 4th year biology elective is required for my degree but the class itself is not.
I apologize for these questions if they are difficult but any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi Kimr
It is the course load that we consider, not just the number of courses. So if your credits within one semester is 2.5 or more then you are good.
A withdrawl won't affect your application unless it results in the semester being less than 2.5 credits.
